Bagalthok Community Information Center was been establsihed by Nepal Rural Information Technology Development Society (NRIDS) in 2005. NRIDS has been establishing CICs and lobbying for the support with Government/NGOS/INGOS. NRIDS has demanded for resources for 30 CICs in Syangja.
NRIDS submitted the detailed project plan to High Level Commission for Information Technology(HLCIT) a year ago. As an outcome HLCIT donated 2 computers,1 scanner,1photcopy Machine,1 printer to Bagathok CIC. NRIDS members and the local community were very happy to get to have Computers and internet within reach. Bagalthok CIC arranged a programme on 6th September 2007. To attend this program the technical Research Unit of NRIDS along with the president also attended the programme. Representatives from Govenrment, NGOS/Journalists also attended this programme.
